FAQs

Do you ship to where I live?

Yes. We ship worldwide. Ready to shop?

My order arrived and it isn’t what I expected. What can I do?

We want you to be happy with everything you buy from us – so if your parcel arrives and it isn’t what you want just return it to us for a refund. You’ll find all the details on our refund policy here.

What threads do you use?

All of our threads are Madeira. Madeira is a German brand and their UK distributer is a few miles away from us. We use mostly rayon thread rather than polyester. Where specialist threads are used (like matt or metallic) you’ll find details of those in individual listings. You can find out more about the materials we use here.

What can I attach my patch to?

Almost anything! The iron on backing needs heat to work, but if your item won’t like that patches can be sewn on. Our instructions for attaching your patch are here.

Do you make custom patches?

Absolutely. The design needs to be your own work (or work you have the right to use). Get in touch and we’ll send you details about the artwork we need, costs and timescales.

Will you donate a prize for my charity?

We’ve chosen to support Stonewall and The Trussell Trust, and we’d prefer to give as much possible to them rather than supporting extra charities. So no.

Can I come and visit?

No. We’ve never been open for visitors and the current pandemic hasn’t changed that. As well as embroidering we’re also a working dye studio and that doesn’t mix nicely with people dropping in.

Can I telephone you?

Not really. We don’t have a landline at the shop, and mobile reception is patchy at best. 95% of the calls we received were from people trying to sell us stuff we don’t want. Email is the best way to contact us. We check our emails often and reply fast. If you feel it’s essential that you speak to us then contact us giving us a number where we can reach you and an idea of what we’re calling you about.
