Large project bags will easily hold 8 x 100 gram skeins of yarn plus notions, making them perfect for larger projects (or several smaller ones).

This bag is screen printed with the words I LOVE A GOOD FINGERING  and a skein of yarn on on side and is blank on the other so there's plenty of space for bags of patches.

The bag comes with a card giving care instructions and information about the materials used.

Measurements

Large project bags measure 38cm wide, 26cm tall and 12.5cm deep (or 15in wide, 10in tall, 5in deep).

The bag closes with two drawstring cords. The wrist loop makes it easy to carry your bag. The loop is approximately 22cm or 9in.

Materials

Fettle bags are 100% organic ripstop cotton We wanted to make a bag which used a few materials as possible, so picking a  sturdy organic ripstop cotton meant we didn't need lining or interfacing. A variety of seam finishes are used to make sure there are no raw edges. Using fewer materials keeps costs down, reduces the environmental impact of the bag and makes it much easier to recycle.

Fabric : organic ripstop cotton from Halley Stevensons. This waxed cotton is tightly woven, hard wearing and water repellent. We use every bit of this fabric including the selvedge.

Thread : Gutermann cotton thread

Label : cotton label from The Dutch Label Shop

Ink : screen prints are done with Permaset Permatone which meets GOTS requirements for inks used in organic textile processing.

Cord : recycled braided cotton from Bobbiny

Care Instructions

Keep your bag in fine fettle by spot cleaning as needed. The bag can also be machine washed at 30°C, line dried and pressed with a warm iron. The fabric will pick up creases as it ages,  adding to it's character. Should you want to remove these pressing with a warm iron will restore the smooth finish of the fabric. The fabric can also be reproofed to maintain its water repellent properties.
